I have been lax in informative postings. And I do like this list. Sorry to be lazy.

There is a new Colin clary record coming out tomorrow on weepop. I am pretty proud of it and especially proud of the vinyl whole package. Camila at weepop made it so awesome.

No pressure.

Yow!

Have you had the chance to listen to the new The Pains Of Being Pure At

It's bloody brilliant. Great songwriting, stellar production. Jen
Goma's vocals on "Kelly" slay me. They basically killed it. I miss
Peggy, Alex, and Kurt, but the new line-up sounds very nice, too.

I think the new record is amazing. They definitely hit the mark on this
one. Excellent songwriting and gorgeous production that doesn't take away
from the songs.

Haven't had a chance to listen to the album yet, but I got to see them
Waterloo Cycles at sxsw this past March and they were fantastic, one of my
favorite sets of the week. Also got to meet some friendly and lifesaving
indiepop listers which is always nice. I got to talk to Kip a bit after the
show as well and he seems like a swell guy.

Kate (and all)-
If yr coming to the SF Popfest you should get the 4-day pass, it's a good deal:

http://www.popfestsf.com/p/tickets.html

guessing the Friday night Softies/Boyracer/Rocketship/Mantles show might sell out, too.

mentioned but for those of ya thinking about getting the 4 day pass,
apparently along with it you get a "ltd. ed. cassette featuring the 2014 SF
Popfest line-up, full of rare tracks that will surely be coveted, and you
also get a special button!!!" making it even cooler!!

Mike,

Me and Fran are on holiday there so kinda just wanted to see the bands for one day as we wanted to explore San Fran...

Could I just ask if it could be possible to get one day...

It's such a shame my band wasn't playing. I think we would of been perfect. Maybe next year :D

I would love to go to both fests (amazing line ups!), but I am stuck in the
Midwest. Hoping to hit some Chicago street fests. Will be at pitchfork all

I remember hearing something about this quite a while ago (back in 2000). Some ambient listserv I was on got into the usual vinyl vs cds debate and I recall a lot of people mentioning that cds have a half-life of about 20 years or so.

Very interesting…. :)
